My honeysuckle has never flowered - It is planted on a west facing fence and has been watered in dry periods.?

It was purchased at Hampton Court Flower Show five years ago, and was chosen for its strong fragrance - sorry but the variety is unknown.

Any ideas?

Lonicera (honeysuckle)

Needs ordinary to rich well drained soil and full sun to partial shade. Prune by thinning out after flowering only. should flower on last years wood, probably the reason for not flowering.

Please email me with any more info on your honeysuckle.
Reply:All I can suggest is feeding it well - perhaps it%26#039;s hungry - and perhaps improving the soil around its base. If it%26#039;s any consolation, my honeysuckle only had about 6 flowers on it this year (although it is only 3 years old) - maybe they need time to establish themselves properly.
Reply:Make sure the ground has proper nutrients and not alot of weeds. They do like alot of sun too.
